The Angel Hospitality Training School and Community Café is managed by SBA CIC. SBA CIC is a not-for-profit community interest company based in Langport, Somerset.

We are open
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 9am – 3pm
Thursday, Friday and Saturday 9am – 4pm

We are creating more than just a café – we are building a space where:

Surplus food is transformed into tasty, nourishing dishes
Everyone is welcome – no matter your background or income
People come together to learn and connect
People gain support, develop essential life, people and social skills, and grow in confidence
Above all, it’s a place filled with warmth and true community spirit

From September 2025

Over time, we will grow into a full hospitality training school with lots more to offer including:

Cooking and baking classes
Training in customer service, confidence building and general people skills
Training and work experience for people
A “pay what you can” option for those in need
Film nights, kids’ activities, markets, and more

And we will work with local suppliers and food waste
projects to keep things sustainable and to support local businesses.

Meals on Wheels

Meals on wheels is building on the success of our existing Lunch Club, we are launching a “Levels Meals on Wheels” extension to reach those who are physically or mentally unable to attend our centre. This project is essential because food poverty and social isolation are often “hidden” behind closed doors. Meals on Wheels is a structured Volunteer-Led Home Delivery Service. This project will provide hot, nutritious meals to housebound residents, ensuring they receive the same quality of food and social connection as our in-person members. We will launch an open-access Levels Meals on Wheels service delivering freshly cooked, seasonal meals to vulnerable residents. Operating Tuesdays and Thursdays to begin with.
 
The project hasn’t been launched yet, but we are starting to look for volunteers who would like to join.

About us

SBA CIC is a not-for-profit organisation, based in Langport.
Established in 2010, we help people move forward – into work, education, further training, starting their own business, or simply improving their quality of life.

We have supported thousands of people in Somerset and around the world, through skills training, coaching and wellbeing projects.

We are delighted to have recently become the new operators of the Angel Café. To us, this is more than a business. It’s a chance to create a real community hub -a friendly place where everyone is welcome.
